As the title suggested, I've been from snow to sand dunes to giant rocky mountains that look like just piles of boulders, to finally the ocean itself. Finally I have a memory of the ocean to call my own, and not some fabricated memory from a dream that was contructed using stock images from the net or film, a real memory of the ocean to my own. The briney smell of that salty air that near constantly blasts chilly gusts up my nostrils, and the rythmic lapping of the waves that crash against my legs, trying to pound me back to dry land as if I am the invader and the shore is the ocean's annexed territory. Its amazing to just see the water stretch all the way back to the horizon.
As for the snow part, when I saw the Grand Canyon it was snowing for the majority of the time we were there. Which is odd considering it supposed to be hot around that area and dry, but then again we were several thousand feet up.
Las Vegas was where my trip started and it was okay. It was expensive and flashy. It was interesting to see all the crazy themes and that were offered in each hotel but ultimately since I wasn't 21, my brother had little interest in gambling, and my mom worried about wasting money, the real attraction to Las Vegas was lost on us. Oh well.
So I've seen a ton of different climates and microclimates while traveling mostly through Arizona and California. I was surprised that so much could be juxtaposed like that so closely.
